About these numbers
- Points, pixels and scale come from Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines (Layout → device screen sizes) and Apple tech specs, cross-checked with useyourloaf.com and safearea.info.
- iPhone safe-area insets are for a full-screen app on iOS 26 and later (simulator measurements on iOS 26.5 and 27.0). iOS 18 and earlier report a 21 pt landscape bottom inset instead of 20; the “Older OS” row shows those values. useyourloaf.com reports a 20 pt landscape top inset on iOS 26 when the status bar is visible in landscape; it is 0 when hidden (the default).
- iPad insets are full-screen values on iPadOS 26 and later: a 32 pt top inset (taller status bar) and a 25 pt bottom inset on most Face ID iPads. Older iPadOS 12–18 values (24 / 20 pt, or 20 / 0 pt with a Home button) are on the “Older OS” row. Windowed apps, Stage Manager and apps not built with the iPadOS 26 SDK (which get extra room for window controls) report different values.
- Corner radius is the value
UIScreenreports privately (_displayCornerRadius). Apple doesn’t publish it. Dynamic Island and notch sizes are measured approximations. - Display Zoom is the “Larger Text” zoom setting on iPhone. Downsampled devices render at points × scale and are then scaled down to fit the panel.
